I build and fix things. Across two decades and a half-dozen industries — FinTech, Insurance, Healthcare, Defense, IT Services, and Wealth Management — the pattern has been consistent: I get handed complexity, and I return clarity. Technology is rarely the hardest part of transformation. The real friction lives in business processes, organizational behavior, and the human systems that either enable or resist change. I’ve learned to work in that space — between the architecture and the politics, between the roadmap and the reality — without drama. I’ve also learned not to chase trends. I’ve watched the Gartner hype cycle long enough to recognize the pattern: manufacture urgency, then sell the antidote. The question I ask about any emerging technology — AI included — isn’t “are we using it?” It’s “what problem does it solve, and how will we know if it worked?” My background doesn’t fit a clean box.
