He is a passionate advocate for customers and has been an outspoken voice in the WISP community for nearly 20 years. Cameron's expertise in engineering, construction, and management has enabled him to oversee large-scale wireless and fiber deployments at the local, state, and federal levels. In his role at Nextlink, Cameron is spearheading the company's early artificial intelligence (AI) initiatives, leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) to enhance customer interactions, streamline summarizations, and drive network automation. These AI-driven efforts are contributing to the development of a smarter, more efficient network, enabling better customer service and operational scalability. By integrating AI technologies, Cameron is positioning Nextlink at the forefront of innovation in the telecommunications industry. Prior to joining Nextlink, Cameron served as a Senior Consultant at Tilson Technology Management, where he supervised the deployment and management of multiple electric utility smart grid networks that serviced over one million smart meters throughout the United States. As the former Broadband Director and Project Manager for Midcoast Internet, Maine's first wireless broadband Internet provider, Cameron was responsible for maintaining the company's broadband network and expanding service area and coverage through the addition of new wireless and fiber-optic systems. With his extensive knowledge of the telecommunications industry, a track record of successful network deployments, and forward-thinking approach to technology adoption, Cameron is a valuable asset to communities and is passionate about getting rural America connected through innovative solutions.
