I love working on a close team with great people, a shared vision, while building amazing products and services. When I have had that under a great leader and mentor -it is like magic. Doesn't matter the industry, the current state of things, or even my specific role. In technology there is the tech element and the underappreciated people element. Both are important. All of the jobs I have gotten have been referrals from people I had worked with. Not uncommon but just where I have been-many of them have been "Hey come work here" from people who had been on a close knit team with me at another place. About Me: Throughout my diverse career in the tech space, I've had the privilege of experiencing virtually every facet of the industry. I've taken on roles ranging from developer-intern to senior, project manager, DBA, QA specialist, team leader, development manager, director, VP, and CIO in organizations of all sizes, from small startups with a dozen employees to large enterprises employing thousands. This journey has been marked by my unwavering belief that understanding the unique dynamics of different companies equips us to be more effective leaders. Career Trajectory: I've had the opportunity to move around the organizational ladder and I loved each step of the journey. One memorable period was when I transitioned from a Director role to serving as a contract programmer coding .NET for several months finishing the project, and ended up as a VP running an 80 person team. I've found that the most fulfilling experiences come from loving your job, having exceptional mentors (which I've been fortunate to have), and enjoying working with your team. Mentoring and Talent Development: One of the most rewarding aspects of my journey is the chance to mentor and guide individuals towards reaching their full potential. I've seen colleagues who I mentored ascend to senior-level positions in companies across the country, it's the best award I have had is to see them thrive.
