I've spent 20+ years as an engineer, architect, and now CTO, building software and the teams that ship it. These days a lot of my attention is on the same question the leaders I talk to are working through: what AI actually changes about how engineering teams and their organizations operate, what it costs, and where it quietly moves ahead of the roadmap.  At Flexion we partner with technology and engineering leaders to build and modernize the platforms their organizations depend on. That's legacy modernization, embedding AI into real workflows rather than bolting it on, scaling product teams through growth, and delivering software in environments where there's no margin for failure.  I came up through the work. Software development, architecture at all levels, from on-premise to cloud-native with remote distributed teams across the US and Canada, DevOps before it was a department, and a long run of modernization projects where the hard part was never the technology, it was understanding the data, developing trust and building confidence with the stakeholders and breaking down silos that trip up others. I bring that lens to the leaders we work with, most of whom are taking on new mandates, scaling teams, or trying to modernize what's already there without breaking it.  Specialties: Engineering leadership and team scaling, legacy system modernization, AI-native product development, cloud-native architecture and DevSecOps (AWS Advanced Tier Partner), distributed and embedded teams, adaptability through option-enabling delivery.  Happy to compare notes with anyone working through the same problems, whether or not there's ever a reason to work together.
