Brian Bond leads the architecture, product, and technology organization. His team is responsible for enterprise network architecture, technology strategy, digital transformation, and product management. His top priority is delivering cost-effective solutions that enable Brightspeed to deliver on the promise to bring broadband to underserved communities. Brian has spent his career in telecom, leading technology transformation. He joined Brightspeed as the chief operations support and innovation leader, spearheading the company’s network architecture and delivering next-gen technologies to scale the network through the launch of the company in October 2022. After the launch, Brian was promoted to chief technology officer. Brian has led a wave of innovation through the launch of the Brightspeed Technology Advancement Center (BTAC). BTAC serves as a high-velocity testbed for new equipment and technology solutions. These cutting-edge tools have revolutionized fiber deployment, elevated customer experience, and accelerated revenue growth. Brian came to Brightspeed from Lumen Technologies, where he served as vice president of architecture, engineering, and technology, overseeing the optimization of Lumen’s access and in-home networks. Prior to that, he led a global workforce of 4,000 repair call center employees, improving efficiency and reducing costs by developing AI/ML-powered tools, including Diagnostics as a Service (DaaS), next-best-action workflows, and digital collaboration platforms. Before joining Lumen, he spent almost 20 years at Verizon, growing his career with the launch and evolution of Fios, the company’s industry-leading broadband product. He was instrumental in creating the technology, tools, and processes that enabled the operations field teams to execute the Fios strategy. Brian earned his Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering Technology from Fairmont State University. He is certified as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and in Lean Applied to Business Processes.
