I am an Electrical Engineer with extensive experience in the Electrical Utility Protection & Controls field. While I have developed proficiency across all aspects of relay application and design for utility clients, my core expertise lies in relay settings, fault studies, relay coordination, and the development of advanced protection systems. I am particularly passionate about leveraging technology to automate and streamline these complex tasks, driving efficiency and supporting through innovation. In my current role as Chief Technical Officer for TRC’s Substation Engineering practice, I provide technical leadership, oversee training and quality initiatives, and spearhead digital and technology-focused strategies across our 400+ person team. A key focus of my role is integrating technology into our day-to-day processes to ensure we deliver exceptional, high-quality support to a diverse range of clients in the utility, generation, and renewables sectors. While much of my work involves strategic planning and high-level project oversight, I remain actively engaged in the technical aspects of our work to stay connected to the foundation of our industry. Beyond my professional responsibilities, I am deeply involved in advancing the field of system protection. I serve as a member of the IEEE Power System Relay and Control (PSRC) Main Committee, Chair of the PSRC Substation Protection Sub-Committee, and actively contribute to several PSRC working groups focused on relaying and protection. These leadership roles allow me to collaborate with industry experts, stay ahead of emerging challenges, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions that drive progress in the electrical utility sector.
