Thirty-three years in software engineering. Fifteen plus in technical leadership. Currently building infrastructure for a market that has needed it for decades and hasn't gotten it yet. I've spent my career at the intersection of software design, architecture, and regulated industries: FinTech, PropTech, and GameTech. All compliance-grade systems that cannot fail. As CTO at Figure Technologies, where I led the architectural vision for the company's modular next-generation lending platform, its API and data pipeline connecting Figure to Credit Karma and Lowe's, and the private label infrastructure that helped take the company to a $5B IPO. In December 2025, I completed my PhD in Computer Science at the University of Nevada, Reno. My dissertation formally defined API-First Design as a software architecture method, one that treats the API as the foundation of the system rather than an afterthought. The proof of concept validated itself on its own product; the kind of proof that demonstrates viability. I build systems that scale and hire great people who adore our craft. My next thing is in stealth and promises to be the pipe this industry has been missing.
