About Ashton T. Sperry
Ashton T. Sperry is Chief Technology Officer at Xeit AI. Location: Lancaster, Pennsylvania, United States.
I specialize in artificial intelligence, decision and game theory, and the philosophy of science. I have two books under contract: Towards a Theory of Bounded Rationality and Learning in Games (Bloomsbury Press) and The Encyclopedia-ish of Artificial Intelligence and Game Theory (Apress Media). I hold a B.A. in Mathematics and Philosophy (with honors) from Franklin & Marshall College and a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Missouri-Columbia. In my scholarly research, I use machine learning, particularly reinforcement learning, to develop learning models in game theory where agents interact within dynamic environments and optimize through belief-revision processes. I also examine the explanatory power of equilibrium models in the social sciences and investigate how agent-based (computational) models address the complexity of social behavior. Additionally, I provide consulting services to technology companies to enhance their LLM platforms and broader artificial intelligence capabilities. I focus on improving these platforms' performance on standardized benchmarks, expanding their knowledge capacities, and enhancing their complex reasoning capabilities. To accomplish these objectives, I leverage my expertise in game theory and the philosophy of science to develop advanced, deep reasoning architectures for language models. In the past, I worked as an applied and research scientist in the technology sector. I developed algorithmic systems to analyze and predict behavioral patterns in residential environments. I contributed to platforms that detect anomalous activity, identify falls, and use computer vision techniques to assess mobility in accordance with clinical guidelines. These technologies aim to provide comprehensive in-home support for caregivers of elderly individuals and those with cognitive disabilities. My complete Curriculum Vitae is available upon request.
