We tend to treat being good with people as a fixed trait: you either have the knack or you don't. I think that's mistaken. It's a set of skills, and skills can be taught. That conviction is behind what I build. I cofounded Musing AI, where we're building social behavioral intelligence that reads the dynamics between people and helps them understand each other better. It was inspired by my PhD research at Carnegie Mellon, where I build agentic systems for psychotherapists to practice their interpersonal skills to positively influence their clients. My interests revolve around one theme: helping people connect with people. The AI is just how they get there. My background in statistics, AI, robotics, and HCI prepares me to turn nebulous and messy parts of how we build relationships with one another into something you can actually quantify, simulate, and learn. Always happy to connect with people working at the intersection of AI and human relationships.
