About Amir Hirsch

Amir Hirsch is Co-Founder, CTO at Stealth AI Startup. Location: San Francisco, California, United States.

Technical leader with 15+ years in AI software, high-performance computing, and EDA. I build the compute infrastructure behind real-time ML and scientific systems: robotics, autonomous drones, and defense platforms. YC (S11) founder. Founding engineer at hCaptcha, where I wrote the first generation of software that now powers bot detection for ~20% of the internet. Designed and built a PDP-11/70 hardware emulator that controls the Ontario Power Generation nuclear reactors (not a lot of room for bugs in that one). Day to day, I work across the hardware-software divide: deep CUDA/GPU optimization, high-throughput PyTorch pipelines, computer vision, SLAM, and engineering automation toolchains. I studied Mathematics and EECS at MIT, where my graduate research focused on compiler design for FPGAs and multicore processors.
