I build and protect software systems that are expected to work, scale, and not embarrass anyone in a security incident review. I’m currently a CTO at a stealth startup working in AI code security (yes, it’s vague on purpose — no, I won’t tell you more yet). Before that, I spent several years at Shopify as a Staff Engineer focused on security, reliability, and large, highly opinionated Ruby on Rails systems running in containers that really needed to stay up. Earlier in my career, I was a Security Engineer at UiPath, where I helped bake security into a fast-growing automation platform — threat modeling, vulnerability hunting, and generally thinking like an attacker so customers didn’t have to. I care about building pragmatic security, clean systems, and tools that engineers actually want to use. Big fan of boring infrastructure, clear ownership, and automation that removes human error (including my own).
