Albert Swantner is Chief Technology Officer at Verdara. Location: Austin, Texas, United States.

I’ve spent most of my career building companies, products and teams. I’m currently the CTO of Verdara, where we are building a better retirement and financial wellness experience. Before Verdara, I was CTO of SaveDay and helped lead the company through its acquisition by Vestwell. I’m also a co-founder of Nameless CPG, where we acquire and operate consumer brands including Taos Bakes, Wander Beauty, Awkward Essentials and Wile Women. It has given me the opportunity to work beyond technology and get deeply involved in operations, finance, retail, supply chain and company building. Earlier in my career, I co-founded Mobile Tech RX. We grew it from an app for paintless dent repair technicians into a national software platform, built a product and engineering organization of more than 30 people, raised institutional capital and sold the company to Repairify. I have also invested in and supported early-stage founders through The Fund Austin, and I previously built and ran Bohemian Innovation, a digital product agency I founded in 2010. Outside of work, I’ve spent a significant part of my life serving Austin and Central Texas organizations. I currently serve with Make-A-Wish Central & South Texas, Keep Austin Beautiful, The Contemporary Austin and The Adventure Project, and previously served in leadership roles with Big Brothers Big Sisters and other community organizations. I’m increasingly interested in how technology, entrepreneurship and strong institutions can contribute to areas such as education, conservation, public service and expanding opportunity. I enjoy meeting people who are working on difficult, meaningful problems and finding practical ways to help.
